Snapper Rock Wines source their fruit from two of New Zealand’s most famous wine producing areas, Marlborough at the top of the South Island and Hawkes Bay on the east coast of the North Island. Hawkes Bay’s alluvial plains, high sunshine hours and long ripening season create the ideal terroir for full bodied reds. Marlborough’s rolling valleys carved by ancient riverbeds and bright, long summer days with cool nights are ideal for the production of crisp, zesty whites and suave cool climate reds. To make their wines, they have leveraged off the local knowledge of some of New Zealand’s most talented young wine makers. Using fresh fruit driven styles of winemaking pioneered in the New World, they create wines that reflect the variety’s best suited to that region of New Zealand.
