Chile’s geography is unlike any other wine country — flanked by the Pacific Ocean to the west and the Andes to the east, with dramatically diverse valleys between that produce wines of genuine freshness and character. Spanish settlers introduced vines in the 1550s, and French influence followed, explaining the enduring presence of Bordeaux varieties. Most remarkably, Chile’s isolation from phylloxera meant its vines survived on their own roots — and it was here that Carmenère, long thought extinct in France, was rediscovered thriving in the Colchagua Valley.
Our selection is led by Emiliana, one of Chile’s most respected organic producers, whose Adobe Reserva and Novas Gran Reserva ranges showcase the remarkable diversity of Chilean wine — from crisp Sauvignon Blanc and aromatic Viognier to structured Cabernet Sauvignon and the uniquely Chilean Carmenère — across valleys as varied as Casablanca, Maipo, Bio-Bio and San Antonio. Consistently good, certified organic and outstanding value throughout.
