Argentina’s wine story has long been dominated by Mendoza and Malbec — and with good reason. At its best, Malbec is a genuinely versatile grape, capable of producing wines that range from approachable and fruit-forward to structured, opulent and age-worthy. Our selection leans firmly into that strength, drawing on two producers we believe represent the best of what Argentina has to offer — Bodega Bressia from Mendoza and Agrelo, and Bodega Urqo from the high-altitude Valle de Uco, where the combination of elevation, diurnal temperature variation and volcanic soils gives the wines a freshness and precision that sets them apart. Argentina may have more to say beyond Malbec, but when it is this good, there is little reason to look elsewhere.
