The Benchmark of quality Madeira since 1850, Henriques & Henriques is one of the most famous names on the Portuguese island. Currently under the leadership of Master Blender, Humberto Jardím, it is the only House to have consistently owned vineyards in Madeira, allowing them to control every aspect of the production process. They were the first producer to construct a “purpose built” winery on the island and are innovative in both product development and design. In 1992, Henriques & Henriques undertook an expansion programme, investing in the construction of new premises in Câmara de Lobos and also building a new vinification centre at Quinta Grande. The House has consistently been recognised in international challenges for the quality of its wines, regularly receiving top scores and awards.
