The name Convergence signifies the coming together of flavours from our Wairau and Awatere Valley vineyards, and 2024 Marks, the 21st vintage. The nose immediately captivates with a fragrant burst of citrus intertwined with bay leaf and a delicate hint of sea spray. This Sauvignon Blanc has a bright luminosity with a slight green-olive hue and flavours of guava, gooseberry, and preserved lemon peel, underpinned with delicate floral and herbaceous notes. The palate is powerful, concentrated, and energetic with a lingering, juicy, mouth-watering acidity, good balance, length, and purity of fruit.

The 40 hectare Tenuta Aquilaia estate was recently acquired by Azienda Uggiano. Situated in Maremma (southern Tuscany) close to Scansano, in the province of Grosseto. With an average age of ten years, the vineyards produce five red grape varieties: Sangiovese, Ciliegiolo, Alicante, Merlot and Petit Verdot; plus white varieties, Vermentino and Chardonnay. The area was an old Etruscan settlement and site of ancient winemaking, and several mementos of the Etruscan era are still visible.
