Poderi Colla

Dolcetto d'Alba DOC Pian Balbo

2023 Piemonte, Italy, 75cl

A vibrant nose of plum, cherry, violet, sweet spice and dried herbs. The palate has lots of fresh fruit flavours, including sour cherry and plum with refreshing acidity. The youthful fruit combines with spice and bitter chocolate notes giving a wine of depth and personality with a firm, dry and savoury finish – great served with food, even lightly chilled.

Behind the bottle: Poderi Colla

Formed in 2010, Diez Siglos is a collective of around 70 small to medium growers – who are working together to continue the winemaking traditions of Rueda. They use their combined expertise, their best vineyards, and a new winery with the latest technology to produce great wines typical of the region.Verdejo is at the heart of what they do – the clue is in the name – and their wines are structured and bright with fruit at the fore.
