Each variety is vinified separately for up to a year before blending takes place with the aim of allowing the character of each variety to express its unique personality. As the main component of the blend, Cabernet Sauvignon provides the structure, with the second highest proportion from Cinsault complementing the blend with its heady perfume and fruity-forward character. The additional varieties add complexity and texture to the wine which after its final blending, is then aged for a further 8 months in barrique and foudre prior to minimal filtration and no fining before bottling.

The resulting wine lives up to its name bringing a wealth of sweet plums, red cherries and red berry notes on the nose and palate. Well integrated oak offers a hint of cedar and the fine, chalky tannins enhance the silky mouthfeel and long, delicate finish. This is a brilliant example of a Bordeaux Blend, that actually gives the Bordelaise a run for their money! Generous, serious, approachable and drinkable – what more could you want!
