2023 Nelson, New Zealand, 75cl
Produced from the oldest Riesling vineyard in New Zealand, this 50 year old produces wines with intensity and complexity. Part of the blend is aged in a single 1,000 litres Drunk Turtle amphora (the most environmentally sustainable wine vessels in the world). The resulting wine is a lively and racy Riesling: dry and taut which opens up with white floral and spices notes. The textured, oily mouthfeel is inviting and the layers of minerality interplay with ripe racy citrus fruit.
